About God

There is one true and living God; He is infinite, eternal, almighty and perfect in holiness, truth, and love. God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God

About the Bible

The Holy Bible was written by men, divinely inspired, and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It has God for its author and salvation for its end. It is true without any private interpretation. It is infallible in the sense that it is of Divine origin. "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." Commenting on this verse, famous bible commentator, Albert Barnes, declares: It's important to state that "this says nothing about “the church” as empowered to give public or authorized interpretations. There is not a hint, or an intimation of any kind, that the church is intrusted with any such power whatever. There never was any greater perversion of a passage of Scripture than to suppose that this teaches that any class of people is not to have free, prayerful consideration of the revelation of God in this regard." The doctrines of men are not necessarily the doctrines of the bible however all Scripture "is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." The Bible is God’s message to man, revealing the “mind of the Lord”, and “things able to make one wise unto salvation through faith”. We believe it is a supernatural revelation of the Creator to his Creation.

About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus willingly came into our world as fully man, while continuing to be fully God. He is currently seated at the right hand of God as our advocate and intercessor.

(Luke 1:35 Matthew 3:17 1 Peter 2:24 Luke 24:46-47 Romans 8:34 Hebrews 12:2)

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Holy Spirit is the third member of the trinity. The Holy Spirit enters the life of a person when they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is essential for and evidence of a person’s salvation. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit gives gifts for serving one another and empowers believers to live holy and effective lives for the glory of God.

(John 16:8-11 Acts 2:38 Romans 8:9 1 Peter 4:10)

About Man

Man is made in image of God, to be like him in character. He is the supreme object of God’s creation. Although man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” This disobedience is particularly manifested in how we treat other people (a self-absorption) and a rejection of the worship and love of God. Because of man’s sinful disobedience, mankind was separated from the loving intimacy that God intended. Mankind’s greatest and deepest need is to be forgiven of sin and restored back into right relationship with God and thus fulfill his ultimate purpose which is to worship God and fully enjoy Him forever.

(Genesis 1:26-30 Genesis 2:7 Romans 3:23 1 John 1:9)

About Salvation

Salvation is a free gift from God to man. It is only through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, that the guilt, penalty and power of sin can be removed. In that death, God demonstrates His love to us most perfectly. The work of the Holy Spirit is necessary to make the death of Jesus effective in an individual’s life. Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works – only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty. The Spirit enables the sinner to repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ, so that salvation is entirely of God’s grace, through faith alone, and not of human merit or works. Thus salvation comes through the repentance of our sins and by believing upon the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ sinless life makes us righteous before God and His substitutionary death removes all our sin. Although we enjoy now the blessing of union with Christ and secure relationship with God, we await the final consummation of our hope with the return of Christ, the resurrection of our bodies and life with Him eternally.

(Romans 5:1 John 2:1-2 Romans 10:9 Ephesians 2:8)

About Church

There is one church, the body of Christ, consisting of men and women from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation. Each local congregation is an expression of that universal church.
The church consists of those who believe upon Jesus as Lord and Savior. It is one body with many members, unified through faith in Jesus. The church is called to gather together regularly for fellowship, teaching, prayer, and communion. It exists to continue the work of Jesus by declaring the gospel, making disciples, and demonstrating God's love to the world.

(Matthew 28:18-20 Acts 2:41-47 Acts 20:28 Romans 12:5 1 Corinthians 12:27)

Amazing Love is a missionary endeavour that is independent in governance but united with Christians around the world and throughout history in upholding the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The visible church is the gathering of believers around Christ in His word. It is a community of people intended by God to bear witness to Him and actively seek the extension of His rule. Within its community, both men and women are to seek proper expression of their gifts as they work to build the church in love. The Bible makes it clear that in church leadership, as in marriage, the roles of men and women are not interchangeable. We are committed to expressing the differences within relationships of mutual dependence.

About Eternity

People were created with both body and soul. After the body dies, the soul of a person continues on into eternity. Heaven is the eternal destination for all people who have placed their faith and hope in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
